Pangasinan Round Trip: Our Lady of Manaoag

It was a short notice when Carol's scheduled climb was canceled due to bad weather condition in Mountain Province. She was supposed to be on leave for three days for the said climb. She must be somehow upset but of course safety first before anything else. Good thing Jen sent an SMS to Carol that she's planning to attend a mass at Our Lady of Manaoag Church in Pangasinan province. And yes, it was an unplanned road trip.

As early as 11:00 PM of July 15, we're on the official "tambayan" Starbucks Coffee Araneta Center to sip our favorite coffee. We're only two at that time due to time constraint of YnarteXplorer fellow members. It was a good plan also since Jenny's birthday falls on 16th of July -- Yes, Happy Birthday Ate Jen! :) Somehow a thanks giving day for all the blessings we received.

We boarded Dagupan Bus Line Co. Cubao at 1:00 AM of July 16. Only few passengers at that time. So instead of getting asleep, "Nagkwentuhan na lang" until we reach our destination, and it seems like we attended our night shift work schedule.

It was 6:05 AM when we arrived at Our Lady Of Manaoag Church, a little bit late for the 6:00 AM mass, but it's okay - think positive. After the mass we took some pictures inside the church.

Candid yet solemn.

Devotees praying.
We do not want to leave Manaoag Church without exploring the place. As a devotee, we go upstairs on the left side of the church. There is where we can touch the Miraculous Our Lady of the Rosary of Manaoag. There is a box-type hole where we can insert our hand and touch our Lady of Manaoag. The area is so quiet and solemn. I just got a chance to snapshot Ate Jen -- the birthday girl while waiting for my turn.

The Birthday celebrant.
We then went to candle lighting area. Since Carol wasn't able to provide a cake with a candle when they're in the coffee shop. Here's what Ate Jen did, blow the candle then wished. :)

Happy Birthday!

Life is like a candle.

Our next stop is the Rosary Garden. There is a walkway where people can meditate with the Paschal Mysteries. Since it just rained that morning, we decided to roam around and look for a subject for our photo collection.
